Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes. The Warehouse Worker plays a vital role in ensuring efficient warehouse distribution and maintaining safety standards across all activities.
Duties
Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently
Perform order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately and timely
Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control using systems like AS400 or other warehouse management systems
Load and unload goods from trucks, containers, or storage areas with heavy lifting as needed
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency
Assist in construction or maintenance tasks within the warehouse as required
Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues
Support warehouse management in inventory control, stock replenishment, and cycle counts
Experience
Previous experience working in a warehouse distribution environment is required
Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms
Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers
Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment, packaging, and load & unload operations
Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation is a plus
Experience with manufacturing or construction environments is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
Prior warehouse experience involving order picking, inventory management, and use of warehouse management systems is desirable
